Ingredients:

  • 1 ½ cups all-purpose flour
  • 3 ½ tsp baking powder
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1 tbsp white sugar
  • 1 ¼ cups milk
  • 1 egg
  • 3 tbsp butter, melted
  • 3 tbsp honey
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract

Instructions:

  1. Prepare the Batter:

    • In a large bowl, sift together the flour, baking powder, salt, and sugar.
    • Make a well in the center and pour in the milk, egg, melted butter, honey, and vanilla extract.
    • Mix until smooth. Be careful not to overmix; a few lumps are okay.
  2. Preheat and Grease the Griddle:

    • Heat a griddle or large frying pan over medium heat.
    • Lightly grease with butter or cooking spray.
  3. Cook the Pancakes:

    • Pour or scoop the batter onto the griddle, using approximately ¼ cup for each pancake.
    • Brown on both sides and serve hot.
  4. Serve:

    • Top with additional honey, butter, or your favorite pancake toppings like fresh fruits, nuts, or whipped cream.

Tips:

  • Rest the batter: Letting the batter rest for about 5-10 minutes before cooking can help make the pancakes fluffier.
  • Keep them warm: If making a large batch, keep the cooked pancakes warm in an oven set to 200°F (93°C) until ready to serve.
